I love animals. Each time I meet a furry friend, I enjoy seeing their personalities come to life. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments and behaviour levels, including rescue dogs and the cats I grew up with.
From an early age, I developed a deep understanding of animal behaviour, learning to read each pet as an individual and respond to their unique personality, signals, and needs in different environments.
I also volunteer at a local dog shelter, which has further expanded my experience with a wide range of dogs and behaviours in real world situations.
I am currently completing my professional dog training certification and working under the mentorship of a certified trainer while continuing to build my knowledge in behaviour, structure, and communication.
At Paws On A Journey, our focus is on providing consistent, respectful, and reliable care for every dog we work with. Our goal is to ensure each dog feels understood, safe, and appropriately supported in every situation.
We had the privilege to know Vanessi when we were looking for someone to take care of our lovely dog named Boss for 3 weeks. Vanessi did a fantastic job with our baby by giving him constant attention and affection. When it was time for Boss to come home we think that he preferred to stay with Vanessi. We couldn't be happier with Vanessi's service and we highly recommend her!

Vanessi is amazing with our dog Maple. Always comes home tired and happy. She provided walks and dog park adventures and sent us pics each day. We love having peace of mind that he is in a family home and gets lots of love, affection and one on one attention. Last time Maple needed a little extra care due to a surgery and Vanessi did a great job giving him all the medication. Would highly recommend.

Vanessi was an amazing dog sitter for our 1 year old Akita Koda. She picked him up from the house, and Koda was so excited to see them. We can only imagine the day they had, Koda came back exhausted after the adventures she had taken him on. She is our go to dog sitters!
